A Perfect Weekend Getaway: Affordable Par 3 Golf at Mirinae Golf Club, Yangpyeong

When most expats or travelers think of playing golf in South Korea, they imagine exclusive, expensive 18-hole country clubs that require booking months in advance. However, if you are looking for a relaxing, budget-friendly way to practice your short game while enjoying Korea’s stunning natural landscapes, local Par 3 courses are the hidden gems you need to know about.

This weekend, I took a short drive from Seoul to Mirinae Golf Club (미리내골프클럽) in Yangpyeong, and it was the perfect escape.

Fresh Air and Flawless Greens

Located in the serene mountains of Yangpyeong, Mirinae Golf Club offers a breath of fresh air—literally. The facility is surrounded by lush pine trees, and playing under the clear blue autumn sky is an experience in itself.

The club features a well-maintained 9-hole Par 3 course. It is relatively compact, making it ideal for beginners looking for field experience or advanced players wanting to sharpen their wedge shots.

A Unique Local Rule: One of the best things about this course is the "2-Ball Play" rule. Unlike strict country clubs, Mirinae allows players to hit two balls per hole during their round, making it an incredible opportunity for real on-course practice. (Just make sure not to exceed 2 balls, as it is strictly enforced!)

Warm Up at the Driving Range

Before hitting the grass, you can warm up at their outdoor driving range (often called "Indoor/인도어" in Korea due to the netting, despite being outside). Hitting golf balls into the backdrop of the Yangpyeong mountains is incredibly refreshing.

Pricing & Hours: The Best Deal in Town

The absolute best part about Mirinae Golf Club is its affordability. If you want a full day of golf, they offer an "All-Day Pass" (전일권) which includes unlimited access to both the Par 3 course and the driving range.

Weekend Full-Day Pass (For 2 Players): 55,000 KRW per person.

(If you go alone, it's 60,000 KRW, and for groups of 3 or more, it drops to 50,000 KRW!)

Considering that a standard 18-hole round in Korea can easily cost over 200,000 KRW, this all-day pass is a massive bargain.

Operating Hours (May to October):

Driving Range: 06:30 AM ~ 21:00 PM (Tue-Sun)

Par 3 Course: 08:00 AM ~ 17:30 PM (Tue-Sun)

(Note: Mondays have slightly shortened hours, operating from 08:00 AM to 18:00 PM for both facilities).

Why You Should Go

If you want to experience the authentic local golf culture of Korea without breaking the bank, Mirinae Golf Club in Yangpyeong is a highly recommended day trip. Pack your clubs, grab a friend, and enjoy a full day of K-Golf in nature!
